Lake Level Update 9/7/2021

Paul Myers, TLA Lake Level Committee

Dear TLA Members,

I took a trip to the beaver dam on Saturday September 4th, 2021. Thankfully, the beaver dam is still intact with plenty of space to allow the lake level to rise before any water spills over the dam. Wildflowers are flourishing on the dam which means there has been little or no beaver activity as of late.

In my last update on 8/17/21, I reported the lake level at 1351.4 but that was a typo on my part. The actual lake level was 1351.04. The lake level reading on Tuesday, September 7th, was 1351.06. We are still in the acceptable range and due to the historic drought thankfully we didn't go below 1351.0.

Even with the most recent rainfalls, we are still more than 10 inches behind normal. I want to thank the rain spotters who have been keeping track of the rain at different locations around the lake.

Have a great fall!
