Firewise Chipper Days Pickup

I just finished receiving an update from the Itasca County Firewise Coordinator as to the status of this year's Chipper Days Bush Pile pickup. The previous contractor that picked up the brush piles decided to not repair their equipment, and to no longer engage in the Chipper Days Program. Our County Coordinator has since been trying to line up additional contractors to complete the pickups. This has proven to be somewhat problematic as everyone is busy with previous commitments and won't be able to begin pickups for the Chipper Days program until early September. Hopefully the brush piles will be picked up by the end of the month but it is suggested that you do not add any more material to your brush piles as, due to the large size of many of the piles, it is taking longer than usual to complete the pickups.
