July 4th Boat Parade

Join us for this year’s annual July 4th boat parade!

Every year, TLA holds a boat parade where members and guests are encouraged to decorate their boats and follow the parade route. We meet on the east side of the big bay in front of John Hanson’s place at 12:30 p.m. on July 4th. The boat decorations will be judged and trophies awarded. Then the parade gets underway at 1 p.m. The parade lasts about one hour and ends north of Arcadia Resort. Many of our neighbors watch the parade from shore. To not disappoint those watchers, if you are in the parade, please consider staying until the end.

It is not necessary to decorate your boat to participate, but for safety reasons, no pull-behind craft or jet skis, please.

Traveling trophies are awarded to members in two categories: Patriotic and Creative. In addition to bragging rights, the winners retain the trophy for the entire year until shortly before the next year’s event, at which time the trophy is returned to the board.

See you on the 4th!
